Loop Head Cycleway Getaway
Start your trip in Kilkee staying in Kilkee Thalassotherapy centre or The Strand Guesthouse on the Strand Line. Take a seaweed bath and have a treatment with Eileen in the Thallassotherapy centre on the evening of your arrival. Begin your journey in the morning by cycling along the cliff road on the Northern side of the peninsula (Our preferred starting point on a fine day which is the reverse to the official cycleway) passing stunning clifftop scenery. Continue on to Kilbaha via the Bridges of Ross, where you can stay in The Schoolhouse in Cross or the Lighthouse Inn in Kilbaha or even the Landmark trust house at the Lighthouse. Visit Loop Head and take a walk around the tip of the headland. Set of on your second day along the Southern side of the peninsula taking in the views across to Kerry and the mountains beyond. More dramatic clifftop scenery and beautiful flora as you pass Reaha hill and approach Carrigaholt via Rhinevilla Bay. Have lunch in Carrigholt (The Long Dock) and continue on to us at Purecamping. We will have your Bell Tent ready with the stove lighting and a sauna if you would like. You could add an additional day to your trip and take in a trip on Dolphinwatch in Carrigaholt.
